Transport of dangerous goods (ADR)

The transport of dangerous goods, also known as ADR goods, can be challenging. It is worth mentioning that the ADR is an international convention, currently ratified by 50 countries, which defines the rules for road transport of hazardous materials. It defines the conditions of transport of such items as explosives, gases, flammable materials, both liquid and solid, corrosive or poisonous. It imposes the use of appropriate means of transport, as well as their marking and operating qualifications. Therefore, the timely and, above all, safe delivery of dangerous goods requires the knowledge and experience of both the forwarder and carrier. Due to special legal regulations concerning organization of such shipping, it requires specialized transport fleet, which is appropriately selected for the type of hazardous substance.
